Plaster moon headboard finds

Why, and what to check
Why consider it: Troweled lime plaster is what gives the moon its soft, cloudy, hand-made face instead of a flat painted disc.
Before choosing: This is untinted natural white; the warm sand tone in the image needs a tint. One quart covers a small area, so measure your panel, and it needs a primed board. It is a similar lime plaster, not the exact finish shown.

Why, and what to check
Why consider it: A stainless finishing trowel lays the plaster in the wide sweeping strokes that leave those soft marks.
Before choosing: The blade is narrower than the wide trowel in the reel; plaster technique takes practice on a sample board first.

Why, and what to check
Why consider it: A strip of warm light behind the rim is what makes the moon glow and seem to float off the wall.
Before choosing: These channels are straight; a round rim needs a flexible strip or short segments, and the LED strip and power supply are sold separately. Check the light colour (warm white around 2700K).
